As charter school supporters, we sometimes take for granted that people know and understand the important role charter schools play. However, there is a large population who are unfamiliar with charter schools. And with anti-charter groups becoming more vocal and spreading misinformation, it’s important for all of us to do as much as we can to tell our story: charter schools put kids first!
In February, CCSA launched a website with evergreen communications tools and resources to help school leaders build awareness and support for charter schools in their communities.
Turn Up the Volume builds on the momentum of the spring in-school campaign to help increase public awareness and support for charter schools statewide. It will focus primarily on sharing turn-key content and resources via social media. Look for new content at the top of our Weekly Member Digest emails.

AB 406, a landmark, bipartisan bill that prohibits for-profit corporations from managing and operating charter schools throughout the state was signed by the governor earlier this month.
